1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Carcaroli LTD (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13585788, whose registered office is at 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE, covering the pikk.one app and this website. By creating an account you accept them. If you don't, please don't use pikk.one.
2. Who can use pikk.one
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. One person, one account. You may not use pikk.one if we have previously banned you.
3. Your account
You sign in through Apple or Google, and you're responsible for keeping that account secure. Everything you put on your profile must be true and must be about you — your own photo, your own age, your own identity. Impersonating someone else is grounds for an immediate ban.
4. How matching works
So there's no confusion about what you're signing up for:
- Women swipe; men do not. The app deliberately gives men no swipe control.
- Women are not browsable. No list, grid or search anywhere returns women's profiles, to anyone.
- Men's profiles are shown to women in their area so that a woman can choose.
- A man only ever sees a woman who has already chosen him, and he can decline.
- A conversation opens only on a mutual yes, and either person may write first.
5. How to behave
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, stalk or abuse anyone;
- post nudity, sexually explicit material, or anything involving a minor;
- post someone else's photo, or pretend to be someone you are not;
- share or publish another user's photos, messages or identity outside the app;
- solicit money, advertise, recruit, or run a scam of any kind;
- use bots, scrapers or automated tools against the service, or attempt to circumvent the rules on who can see whom;
- break the law, or encourage anyone else to.
Taking a woman's profile or messages outside the app is a serious breach of these terms and of the trust the whole product is built on. We treat it as a permanent ban.
6. Your content
Your photos and words stay yours. You give us a limited licence to host, store and display them for the purpose of operating pikk.one — showing your profile to the people entitled to see it and delivering your messages. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for safety or legal reasons.
We may remove content that breaks these terms, without notice.
7. Reports, unmatching and bans
- Unmatch ends a match permanently. It cannot be undone by either person, the profile photo is hidden, no further messages can be sent, and the two accounts will never be matched again.
- Reporting a match unmatches it at the same time, immediately — you don't have to do anything else.
- Reports are reviewed by us. An upheld report results in the account being banned. A banned account loses access to its conversations.
We may suspend or ban an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, or where it is necessary to protect someone.
8. Paid features
Downloading pikk.one, creating a profile and matching are free. The app also offers optional paid features. Today that means one thing: a podium week in a city, which puts your profile in front of every woman there for that week.
- Every paid feature is a one-off purchase. Nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel — a podium week ends when the week ends.
- All payments are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details.
- The price, the exact week you are buying and what you get are shown in the app before you confirm.
- Podium places are limited and sold first come, first served. In the rare case that the last place goes while you are paying, we don't complete the purchase — tell us and we'll get it refunded.
- Refunds are handled under the store's policy. We can't refund a store purchase directly, but write to us and we'll help you take it up with them.
- Buying a paid feature never changes the visibility rules in section 4. There is no amount of money that lets anyone browse women's profiles.
9. What we don't promise
pikk.one is provided “as is”. We don't promise that you'll get matches, that anyone will reply, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We don't run background checks on our users. Take the same care meeting someone from pikk.one that you would meeting anyone else from the internet: meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your instincts. Nothing in these terms makes us responsible for another user's conduct.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of pikk.one.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, or if we stop operating the service. Sections 6, 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use pikk.one after that means you accept the new version.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
